The Gold Ticket Wins Across the Board!

With a huge margin of victory Russ Burns and the Gold Ticket sweep the Local 3 elections. The preliminary results show Russ winning 6,548 votes while Bonilla garnered a mere 2,102. Burns beat Bonilla 3 to 1 in the final count. View the Results » (PDF - 634Kb)

The rest of the voting results broke down along the same lines with the Gold Ticket beating all other candidates on a 3 to 1 margin all the way down the ticket. The Membership of Local 3 has given the Gold Ticket team and their platform a mandate to carry this union into a new direction.

The Gold Ticket will be working hard in the coming months to implement their plan for change and their vision for restoring trust and accountability to the Membership. We would like to thank every one for participating in this election and to reaffirm our commitment to work for the Membership of Local 3 not our interest.

The entire Gold Ticket will be sworn in on September 1st at 5:00pm at the Alameda Hall all are welcome.

A second lawsuit has been filed in federal court against Appointed Business Manger John Bonilla. Local 3's former attorney Paul Supton is suing Bonilla personally on six counts. These include Fraud, Negligent Misrepresentation, and much more.
